Woodside International School (WIS) began educating students in Fall of 1976 and became fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in 1983. It is a private high school located in a safe and thriving multi-cultural neighbourhood in the heart of San Francisco. Woodside attracts a wide socioeconomic range of San Francisco Bay Area families, as well as those from overseas. Woodside offers the AP Capstone Program which is the highest-level AP program from the College Board. It currently has AP Seminar classes with the intention of offering AP Research in the following year. Woodside is one of the only two high schools in San Francisco offering these two classes.
