Based in Kent, Dover College has been educating young people for over 150 years. Today it is an co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 3-18 years of age. Dover College offers range of different curriculums such as Middle School, GCSE and Sixth Form. Sixth Form offers pupils a flexible and supportive curriculum with a choice of over 20 subjects. Pupils can study A Level subjects in largely traditional fields sought by the country’s leading universities, pursue Level 3 BTEC qualifications, or decide on a programme made up of a combination of both. Pupils are encouraged to choose a combination of subjects that will support their future career aspirations. Aiming to motivate and inspire learners on an individual basis, Dover goes beyond the standard A Level and BTEC syllabi, establishing a programmed pathway for each pupil that incorporates core subjects together with additional elements in the form of the Laborem programme. Most Sixth Form pupils will also complete an Extended Project Qualification. With these enrichment options, the aim is that pupils will develop the critical skills to succeed as they progress to university.
