Cowichan Valley School District No , is an integral district of the British Columbia public school system, offering one of the best educations in the world. District has four high schools, four middle schools, and twenty-one elementary schools with a combined enrollment of about 8300 students. The academic, sports, and performing arts (particularly film, drama and music) programs are some of the best in Canada. Computer technology programs and equipment are up-to-date and excellent, providing a cutting edge foundation for students to build on. It has been hosting international students for over 21 years, and host a variety of International Students (from Belgium, Brazil, China, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Macau, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Taiwan, and Turkey). Cowichan Valley is one of few programs that has ESL specialist teachers who work only with international students. This ESL support is included in tuition costs, and is available throughout the regular school year.
